We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef  to join our team at our Kambalda Village located in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

 

Summary of duties & responsibilities

  • Roster – 14 days on 7 days off
  • Reinforce a safety culture from both a staff and client perspective
  • Coordinate the production and presentation of meal service
  • Manage and motivate catering staff in the absence of the Executive Chef

Successful applicants will have the following:

  • Must have supervisory experience
  • Must be TRADE QUALIFIED and be able to produce this paperwork
  • Experience in high volume fast paced kitchens
  • Varied cooking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to train staff
  • Team player
  • Work well under pressure

Food and Beverage Supervisor-Coppabella

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at our Coppabella Village located in the Bowen Basin, approximately 2 hours inland from Mackay QLD. This role is a 14 day on and 7 day off roster.

 

Position overview:

  • Supervise the work of Food and Beverage Attendants
  • Ensure front of house dining areas are properly set up, clean and presentable.
  • Ensure that customers are greeted in a friendly and professional manner in the dining room, bar and retail outlets.
  • Maintain the highest possible standard of hygiene and presentation of food in the crib room
  • Assist in setting up front of house food service areas for meal services.
  • Record any incidents occurring on each shift and report to the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental standards are strictly met, ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, contractors and visitors.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have previous hospitality kitchen experience
  • Will be required to assist with all areas of the kitchen, prep, cleaning & setup etc
  • Remote work experience is desirable
  • Experience in high volume fast paced environments
  • Good working knowledge of workplace health and safety

 

Accommodation and meals are provided whilst on roster for non-locals.

A FREE scheduled bus service operates for Civeo employees who travel from Mackay – Bowen Basin QLD. Fly in fly out – FIFO is not provided.

Duty Manager – Bowen Basin

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team at our Villages located in the Bowen Basin (Nebo, Coppabella, Moranbah, Dysart and Middlemount), approximately 3 hours inland from Mackay QLD.

The Duty Manager’s responsibility is to conduct regular patrols of the village and surrounds as determined by the Village Manager including regular foot patrols, responding to emergency incidents and maintaining behavioural standards as per Civeo’s Village Accommodation Behavioural Policy.

Key requirements of this role will be to assist with the Food & Beverage Department, Administration and Village Management with various tasks including auditing, stocktake, crowd control, conducting welfare checks and administrative duties.


To be considered for this role you must possess:

  • Experience in hotel or accommodation as duty manager or equivalent role
  • Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements
  • Minimum RSA (RMLV preferred)
  • Advanced First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  • Current Drivers Licence
