The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team at our Middlemount Village located approximately three hours inland from Mackay, QLD.

This role is a permanent night shift role, responsible for administrative tasks, conducting regular patrols, responding to emergencies, crowd control and maintaining behavioural standards within the Village.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated relevant work experience within the commercial hospitality industry
  • The ability to work autonomously on permanent night shift
  • Certificate II in Security Operations (qualification will be offered to successful applicants who do not hold this)
  • A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (RMLV preferred)
  • Advanced First Aid certificate (qualification will be offered to successful applicants who do not hold this)
  • Experience in high volume, fast paced work environments
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with accommodation software packages (preferably RMS)
  • The ability to work well under pressure

The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health, Safety, Quality, Environment (HSQE) Advisor to join our villages located in the Bowen Basin (Coppabella, Dysart, Middlemount, Moranbah, Nebo), a few hours inland from Mackay. You will also be required to travel, on occasion, to our villages located in NSW and WA.

The position of HSQE Advisor is a key role within Civeo. With Safety being one of our core values, it is essential that our team members understand all aspects of Health Safety Quality and Environment.

Consideration will be given to applicants who have an Environmental background wishing to extend their knowledge and professional portfolio into Occupational Health and Safety

An important aspect of this role is to ensure that all HSQE, Risk and Injury components are controlled and managed across the business with coordination and implementation of the HSQE Integrated Management System (IMS) on site.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Relevant Tertiary/TAFE Qualifications and/or education in the following disciplines:
    • Occupational Health and Safety (desirable) or Environmental Management
    • Risk Management qualification or equivalent (desirable)
    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable) or equivalent
    • Qualification in Auditing and or equivalent (desirable)
  • An understanding of relevant Work Health & Safety (WHS), Environmental and Workers Compensation Regulations and Legislation.
  • Developed understanding of Quality ISO 9001, Food Safety ISO 22000, OHS ISO 45001 and Environment ISO 14001 would be advantageous
  • Experience with systems and programs including MyOSH, ICAM and SharePoint
  • The ability to identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations
  • Knowledge with developing work instructions/safe work practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Remote work experience (highly regarded) Hospitality Service desirable

The Role

About You

 To be successful, you will have:

  • Business, construction or project management qualification at TAFE level or above, or at least 5 years’ experience in a similar field.
  • Manual C Class licence.
  • Experience in job planning and capital request development.
  • Extensive experience in a scheduling and field supervision of Technical employees and/or contractors.
  • Good experience using project management and/or maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferably JDE.
  • Experience in WH&S requirements for the hospitality or construction sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of administrative practices and procedures.
  • Excellent problem solving, planning, scheduling, negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance, including responsibility to self, other persons and property, including the safe operations of plant and equipment and manual handling.
