Head Chef Jess
“Getting to see the buffet presented at the end of every day and getting the freedom to do garnishes and making it look really nice. A lot of people have the misconception about the food here, that it’s just putting it in a tray and serving it, but I think that you have the ability to make it look like you would on a plate. It’s really a great environment to work to be able to do that.“

Chef Robert
“I love the daily variety that comes with working at Civeo. They say each day is different, and here at Civeo it certainly is. I get to move around to all areas of the kitchen and that allows me to keep my skills well honed.
The Pastry Kitchen is my favourite section to work in. I am able to be creative with my work and everyone loves a sweet treat.
I enjoy the mix of staff you get from working in a village. We have people from many areas of the globe working here at Civeo. This really adds to the variety in your day.”
Head Chef Andy
“The best thing about working at Civeo is the flexibility and understanding of support team members as well as the feeling of trust amongst management.
The atmosphere created by your team is amazing especially after a great theme night or function that lasts forever, not to mention the enjoyment spread amongst the residents. It makes all the difference for us working out on site.
Camp life is only as good as the people you share it with, with good positivity and communication, it can be everything you ever need. I’d tell anyone coming to work for Civeo on site to be open and flexible as FIFO life is all it can be with the right attitude.”

Sous Chef Manasa
“Being a Chef is my passion. I love cooking. In particular to this role I’ve had to lead the team for a swing and that has given me a lot of growth and experience.
Life at the village has a lot of activities to go to and do but I also have my private space. I like the opportunity to be able to socialise with my friends but I can also spend some time in my room by myself.
I don’t feel like cooking at home so I can just come down to the buffet and get my food and meals. It’s a really good like at the village, a good balance of work and life.”
