Athletes Village - Arctic Winter Games

The Arctic Winter Games is a high-profile circumpolar sport competition which invites athletes from northern and arctic nations. The event is held every two years and includes athletes from the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Alaska, Greenland, Russia (Yamal), Nunavik, Northern Alberta, and the Indigenous people (Sami) of Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
When the event was hosted in Fort McMurray, Civeo (formerly Noralta) was designated the Official Athletes Village for the games providing lodging and hospitality services for 2,700 athletes, coaches, and officials traveling into the region for the two-week event.
